In the Thick of the Fray: Indiana Suffragists and the Battle for the Ballot

This program will identify the important people in the history of the women’s suffrage movement in Indiana. Learn about how national leaders like Susan B. Anthony and Lucretia Mott impacted the Indiana battle for the ballot. And find out about some of the Indiana women AND MEN who emerged as leading suffragists like Helen Gougar, Zerelda Wallace, George Julian, and Muncie High School graduate, Ida Husted Harper.
