Cornerstone reserves the right to change class time, day, and location, or to cancel the class if the need should arise. All group classes have a required minimum of seven students.
No children are to be left unattended in the building for any reason. Siblings or other children who are not attending classes must be supervised at all times.
Unless otherwise noted, classes are held at Cornerstone Center for the Arts, located at 520 E. Main Street.
Parking is available on the north side of Cornerstone in the main parking lot and the secondary lot - both located off of East Washington Street.
Class fees are due upon registration or during the first week of class. If other arrangements are needed, please contact the Education Office. Payment installments and other arrangements do not apply to workshops and private lessons. Failure to make payments can prevent future registrations.
Refunds are available only before the 2nd class date. A $15 processing fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be issued after the 2nd class date.
Participation in classes and programs is voluntary. However, consistent attendance and participation is vital to a fulfilling program experience. We understand that illnesses and emergencies are unavoidable. Students should avoid missing days of class. In the instance that a student will be absent, please notify the Education & Communication staff. If a student has more than 2 absences, then the student’s spot in the class will be forfeited. Any payment made will be credited towards a future class. No refunds will be issued.
No refund will be issued or a fee reduction for missed classes. For instances when classes are cancelled due to instructor availability, a make-up class will be rescheduled. No make-ups will occur for classes that are missed due to holidays.
The Education Office must be notified of all class withdraws.
Financial aid is available to reduce the cost of classes and private lessons at Cornerstone. Limited funds are available for financial aid. Applications are processed on a first come, first serve basis. Click here to download the Financial Aid Application. Who is eligible for Financial Aid?
Financial Aid eligibility is dependent upon the degree of need as verified by the application and supporting documents.
How do I apply for Financial Aid?
Complete the Financial Aid Application and attach any relevant forms, letters, and numbers. A class registration form must be received with each application.
What does a Financial Aid scholarship cover?
If eligible, one partial or full scholarship will be awarded per person. Scholarships are awarded based on eligibility and may cover up to a maximum of $95 for any group class. Additional class fees can be made in payments as arranged with the Director of Education & Communication.
Can the Cornerstone Arts Program provide financial aid for private lessons?
Financial aid for private lessons is available on a limited basis. As a private lesson is a one on one class with an instructor, the cost for the instructor’s time must be covered in the cost of the lesson. While Cornerstone can offer a small fee reduction for private lessons for those who qualify, the cost of the instructor’s time is paid by the student. Applications are processed on a first come, first serve basis and are available online at the end of the registration process, or in the building at the 2nd floor desk. How will I know if I receive a scholarship?
You will be contacted via email about your application, regardless of whether or not it is awarded.
$17 per 30 minute lesson per student. Students and families with multiple students may not combine lesson times to reduce costs.
Students wishing to combine their lesson experience must still pay $17 each.
You may register at any time. Registration is available at the 2nd floor desk of Cornerstone or online at cornerstonearts.org. It is the student’s responsibility to notify the Education Department of any address, phone number, or email changes.
At the time of your first registration, you must pay a registration fee of $34. This will cover your first two 30 minute lessons.
Lessons may be paid for in any amount. You can pay for an entire session at a time (in advance), or you can make monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly payments.
Cornerstone Center for the Arts policy requires ALL lessons to be pre-paid. You will still be able to pay monthly, bi-weekly, or by full session, but all lessons must be paid for no later than the day of the lesson. Refunds will not be issued for lesson payments made in advance. If a payment is submitted in advance for multiple lessons, and then the student withdraws from lessons, the remaining credit from lessons is then forfeited.
Cornerstone reserves the right to alter lesson day, time, or stop lessons all together due to non-payment or a high balance, or for any other reason as decided by the Director of Education & Communication.

An excused absence is defined as: any absence that the instructor knows about at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson.
An unexcused absence is defined as: any absence that the instructor is not informed of at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson.
Each student receives ONE unexcused absence without any penalty. After that, any unexcused absence will be charged in full at the discretion of the instructor.
Notice of Withdrawal
If you will be stopping lessons for any reason, you must notify your instructor at least two weeks in advance. Stopping without informing your instructor may lead to charges for unexcused absences.
