Cornerstone Center for the Arts will add new classes to its spring arts program beginning the week of March 13. These classes will meet for six weeks and will end the week of April 24. Classes have low-cost one-time registration fees. Classes during the six-week session include the categories of dance, visual arts, music, and fitness for youth and adults.
Classes designed for elementary and middle school students are Youth Ceramics, Youth Art grades 1st-5th, and Youth Painting grades K-3rd. Classes for high schoolers and adults are: Adult Ceramics, Pinworthy Crafts, Sculpture, and 19th Century Art.
The Spring Break Arts Camp will be Tuesday March 21 through Thursday March 23 at Cornerstone. Each day students ages seven to 14 will rotate between classes in visual arts, dance, theatre, martial arts, and more! The camp is $75 per child to attend of $50 per child for families who register multiple children.
Cornerstone will also host a variety of workshops for youth and adults in the spring including: Mapping Black History, Pints & Paints at The Fickle Peach, Monthly Dance Club, Coffee & Paints, Mapping Notable Women around the World, Family Tree Making, Bad Art Night, Free Glass Etching, Kids & Paints, The Story Behind, Free Bracelet Making, and Vintage Sign Making.
In addition to classes and workshops, Cornerstone will continue to offer private music lessons in piano, voice, drums, guitar, horn, and string instruments.
