Cornerstone Center for the Arts has a full schedule for the month of November with workshops leading up to the holiday season. The workshops include Monthly Dance Club, Pints & Paints, Kids & Paints, Coffee & Paints and A White House Christmas.
Monthly Dance Club is a monthly social dance event at Cornerstone Center for the Arts. Each event begins with an hour of dance instruction in swing, ballroom, salsa, or tango dancing led by instructor David Fennig followed by open dancing. The event is a great way to spend a Saturday evening with friends while showing off already existing dance skills or learning a new dance form. The next Monthly Dance Club is November 4 at 7 p.m. and is $12 per person or $7 for students, no pre-registration is necessary for this event.
Pints & Paints is a unique painting experience held at The Fickle Peach in Downtown Muncie. Attendees enjoy two hours of creating a unique featured painting at each workshop. The workshop is for ages 21 and up and includes one drink in the $25 registration fee. Pints & Paints will be on Thursday, November 9. Kids & Paints will be on Friday, November 10 at 6 p.m. Children ages seven and up will enjoy this fall-inspired painting workshop for experienced and brand new artists. Registration is $25 and adults are welcome to join and paint alongside their children as well; this class is all about having fun. An additional registration and registration fee is required for adults wishing to paint.
Coffee & Paints will be held on Saturday, November 18 from 10 a.m. to noon. This relaxing morning workshop is perfect for those who want to give their friends and family a handmade holiday gift. This workshop is available for students ages 4th grade to adult and registration is $25 per person. Photos of features paintings are on Cornerstone Center for the Art’s Facebook page.
A White House Christmas will be on Tuesday, November 28 at 6:30 p.m. Participants will learn about the rich history of renovations and preservation of The White House using maps, plans, and photographs. We will learn about the behind-the-scenes workings of Christmas at the White House. This workshop is free and open to ages 9th grade to adult.
