Cornerstone Center for the Arts will begin its fall class session the week of September 11, 2017. These classes will meet for 12 weeks and will end the week of December 4. Classes have low-cost one time fees with limited financial aid available to those who qualify. Classes in the fall include the categories of dance, fitness, visual arts, theatre, music, and martial arts for youth and adults.
Classes for toddlers and pre-k children include Early Ballet ages 1-2, Early Ballet I & II, Early Hip Hop Jazz, Early Tap, Family Art ages 1-2 and 3-5, Move & Groove, Music & Movement ages 1-3 and 3-5, Sensory Art ages 1-3, and more!
Classes designed for elementary and middle school students include Acting 101 & 102, Beginning Art for Kids, Boys Hip Hop, Early Piano, Family Ceramics, How to Draw for Kids, How to Paint for Kids, Martial Arts, Youth Ballet, Calligraphy & Graffiti, Youth Ceramics, Creative Drawing, Youth Hip Hop, Youth Lyrical, Manga & Comic Book Drawing, Musical Theatre Dance, Youth Painting, Youth Piano, Youth Tap and more!
Classes for high schoolers and adults are Calligraphy & Graffiti, Adult Ceramics, Creative Drawing, Adult Drawing, Adult Hip Hop, Manga & Comic Book Drawing, Adult Tap, Ballroom Dancing, Basic Ballet for Adults, Contemporary & Jazz, Doll Making, Fantasy Art, Farmhouse Vintage Sign Making, Indian & Bollywood, Introduction to Acrylic Painting, Jewelry Making, Landscape Painting, Mixed Media Painting, Performance Ballet for Adults, Pinworthy Crafts, Salsa Dancing, Surfaces in Painting, USA Combat Jujitsu, West Coast Swing Dancing, Beginning Belly Dance, Beginning Watercolor Painting, I heart Journaling, Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, Yoga and more!
Cornerstone will also host a variety of workshops for youth and adults including: Pints & Paints at The Fickle Peach, Monthly Dance Club, Bad Art Night, Coffee & Paints, Party Like a Princess, Kids & Paints, Paint in the Park with Yorktown Council for the Arts.
Cornerstone’s Fall Break Arts Camp will be October 10-12 and will feature instruction in various art forms including but not limited to visual arts, theatre, martial arts, dance, and science.
In addition to classes and workshops, Cornerstone will continue to offer private music lessons in piano, voice, drums, guitar, saxophone, trumpet, and string instruments.
