Cornerstone Center for the Arts, in partnership with PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union, will be hosting a brand new art show on Thursday, March 2 for school-age students in Delaware County. This event, titled the Cornerstone Center for the Arts and PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union Young Artist Exhibition, will be hosted at Cornerstone and will be free to enter.
This new art show will feature both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork from students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Submissions may be entered into one of four grade categories: kindergarten-second, third-fifth, sixth-eighth, and ninth-twelfth. Submissions will be accepted at Cornerstone Center for the Arts from February 15 through February 22. Teachers may submit up to 10 pieces of work, or students are eligible to submit their own artwork with assistance from a parent or guardian.
Prize packages, including cash awards, will be chosen for first, second, third, and honorable mentions in each category. Awards will be selected by a panel of community judges on Wednesday, March 1.
The opening night of the show will be on Thursday, March 2 in conjunction with March’s First Thursday from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Students and families, along with the rest of the community, will be invited to attend the opening to view the artwork, enjoy refreshments, and check out the winning artwork.
