Each year SAMA hosts a festival showcasing the culture of South Asia. This year the association has collaborated with Cornerstone Center for the Arts and is welcoming interested people from Muncie community to enjoy an evening of Indian food and cultural performances.

SAMA Fest will be held at Cornerstone on Saturday, November 3 beginning at 5 p.m., Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy Indian Cuisine. Traditional cultural performances by SAMA kids and an open dance floor are among the evening’s entertainment. There will be a cash bar and the dress code is “Sunday Best.”

Tickets for adults are $30 per person, $15 for ages from 7 to 18, while children 6 and under are free to attend with an adult. Tickets for SAMA Fest are available online, at Cornerstone’s second floor information desk Monday through Friday, or by calling 765-281-9503.

Cornerstone Center for the Arts will conclude its current class session with its Fall Celebration on Sunday, December 8. This recital will include dance and music performances as well as a martial arts demonstration, and a student art gallery. Celebration will also include special recognition of outstanding members of the Cornerstone community. The recipients of the Beth Turcotte Arts Education Achievement Award, the Judith Barnes Spirit of Service Award, and the Robert and Beverly Terhune Corporate Champion will be honored during the Celebration.

Cornerstone Center for the Arts will participate in the Giving Tuesday movement on Tuesday, December 3. Giving Tuesday is a worldwide day dedicated to strengthening communities, encouraging giving and celebrating generosity. Each year, Giving Tuesday takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick-off holiday giving. Local communities are encouraged to participate at the individual, nonprofit and corporate levels.

Join Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Thursday, November 7 for the opening reception of Inamorata & the Floating City featuring art by Sarah Richcreek. The reception will take place in the Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery on the second floor of Cornerstone from 5 to 7 p.m. in conjunction with November’s First Thursday events.
