July Camps and Workshops

Bad Art Night will be at Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Thursday, July 11 at 6 p.m. This event encourages attendees to raid through a collection of arts and crafts supplies to make their very own disaster-piece. Guests are awarded for their tacky, terrible, and creepy art with various prizes. The event is free to attend with a suggested $5 donation to help with costs.

 

Sip your coffee while you paint at Cornerstone Center for the Arts Coffee & Paints Saturday, July 13, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. This fun, relaxing workshop will surely satisfy your artistic craving. Our experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step to create a masterpiece that you can call your own! This month we will feel the beach vibes and paint a tidal wave. Sign up at our website!

 

Master Class Workshops with Jacob Drummer are for experienced dancers looking to have fun while expanding their dance vocabulary. This month’s workshop on Friday, July 19 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm will focus on contemporary / hip hop fusion. Participants will learn a short combo routine at each workshop. Registration is $10 per person. Monthly Dance Club is a monthly social dance event at Cornerstone. Each event begins with an hour of dance instruction in swing, ballroom, salsa, or tango dancing led by instructor David Fennig followed by a few hours of open dancing. The next Monthly Dance Club is Saturday, July 20 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. and is $12 per person or $7 for students, no pre-registration is necessary for this event.

 

Summer Arts Camp in July will take place Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm each day. Participating students will enjoy a week of classes in the areas of visual arts, dance, theatre, martial arts, and more! Registration fees are due in full at the time of registration and include all supplies. Students must bring a lunch for each day. Cost is $150 for one child. Spring into the new year through arts discovery and creation at Cornerstone Center for the Arts! Cornerstone is offering a wide variety of arts classes, workshops, and camps to fit any artsy interest. With the new year comes new classes too! Thanks to the support Muncie area community, we are expanding our education schedule into the weekends. The twelve-week session will begin the week of February 2 and continue through the week of May 2 followed by our Spring Celebration. Various one-time workshops and camps will also be offered throughout springtime as well. Registration is now open for classes for youth and adults in visual arts, dance, theatre, music, martial arts, fitness, and more!

Scarevania Haunted House will be open for a special one night only Christmas themed haunt on Saturday, December 14 from 8 pm to midnight. A Christmas Scarol is brought to you by Cornerstone Center for the Arts and City Councilman-Elect Jeff Robinson, District 2 with the purpose of collecting donations for the City of Muncie Animal Care and Services Department and Cornerstone Center for the Arts.
