Bad Art Night will be at Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Thursday, July 11 at 6 p.m. This event encourages attendees to raid through a collection of arts and crafts supplies to make their very own disaster-piece. Guests are awarded for their tacky, terrible, and creepy art with various prizes. The event is free to attend with a suggested $5 donation to help with costs.
Sip your coffee while you paint at Cornerstone Center for the Arts Coffee & Paints Saturday, July 13, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. This fun, relaxing workshop will surely satisfy your artistic craving. Our experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step to create a masterpiece that you can call your own! This month we will feel the beach vibes and paint a tidal wave. Sign up at our website!
Master Class Workshops with Jacob Drummer are for experienced dancers looking to have fun while expanding their dance vocabulary. This month’s workshop on Friday, July 19 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm will focus on contemporary / hip hop fusion. Participants will learn a short combo routine at each workshop. Registration is $10 per person. Monthly Dance Club is a monthly social dance event at Cornerstone. Each event begins with an hour of dance instruction in swing, ballroom, salsa, or tango dancing led by instructor David Fennig followed by a few hours of open dancing. The next Monthly Dance Club is Saturday, July 20 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. and is $12 per person or $7 for students, no pre-registration is necessary for this event.
Summer Arts Camp in July will take place Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm each day. Participating students will enjoy a week of classes in the areas of visual arts, dance, theatre, martial arts, and more! Registration fees are due in full at the time of registration and include all supplies. Students must bring a lunch for each day. Cost is $150 for one child. Join Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Thursday, November 7 for the opening reception of Inamorata & the Floating City featuring art by Sarah Richcreek. The reception will take place in the Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery on the second floor of Cornerstone from 5 to 7 p.m. in conjunction with November’s First Thursday events.
