The season of giving is here, there are many ways to support your local arts center this holiday season. Here are a few ways you can give back to Cornerstone Center for the Arts.
Cornerstone is participating in the Giving Tuesday movement on Tuesday, November 27. Giving Tuesday is a worldwide day dedicated to strengthening communities, encouraging giving and celebrating generosity. Each year, Giving Tuesday takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick-off holiday giving. Local communities are encouraged to participate at the individual, nonprofit and corporate levels.
For this year’s Giving Tuesday, Cornerstone has set the goal to raise at least $3,000 to cover the organization’s visual arts supply costs for the entirety of 2019. These supplies will benefit the over 2,000 students who participate in classes and workshops each year. Surpassing the $3,000 goal will increase the organization’s ability to provide high quality art supplies to all of our students at no additional fee to them. In 2018, Cornerstone awarded nearly $18,000 in financial aid scholarships. The students who benefitted from those awards were able to attend classes at no-cost or minimal cost to their family. It is only through the support of donors like you that the organization is able to provide these scholarships.
You can support Cornerstone’s goal on Giving Tuesday by donating online at cornerstonearts.org, by phone at 765-281-9503, or by stopping by Cornerstone’s E.B. Ball Auditorium on November 27 and dropping off a cash, check, or credit card donation. Speedy Dogs will be onsite with lunch available to purchase from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., The Guardian Brewing Co. will pour craft brews from 5 to 7 p.m. for after work donors.
