December Workshops

Cornerstone Center for the Arts will offer various one-time workshops during the month of December. Upcoming workshops include Pints & Paints at The Fickle Peach and Coffee & Paints.

Pints & Paints is a unique painting experience held at The Fickle Peach in Downtown Muncie. Attendees will enjoy two hours creating the featured painting at each workshop. The workshop is for ages 21 and up and includes one drink in the $25 registration fee. The next Pints & Paints will be on Thursday, December 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The featured painting for December is a lovely winter scene.

The next Coffee & Paints workshop will be on Saturday, December 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is open to students in the 4th grade through adults. Attendees who are experienced artists or are completely new to painting will enjoy creating in this relaxed atmosphere. Registration is $25 per person. December's featured painting is a beautiful holiday ornament.

Fall Celebration

Cornerstone Center for the Arts will conclude its current class session with its Fall Celebration on Sunday, December 8. This recital will include dance and music performances as well as a martial arts demonstration, and a student art gallery. Celebration will also include special recognition of outstanding members of the Cornerstone community. The recipients of the Beth Turcotte Arts Education Achievement Award, the Judith Barnes Spirit of Service Award, and the Robert and Beverly Terhune Corporate Champion will be honored during the Celebration.

Cornerstone Center for the Arts will participate in the Giving Tuesday movement on Tuesday, December 3. Giving Tuesday is a worldwide day dedicated to strengthening communities, encouraging giving and celebrating generosity. Each year, Giving Tuesday takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick-off holiday giving. Local communities are encouraged to participate at the individual, nonprofit and corporate levels.

Join Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Thursday, November 7 for the opening reception of Inamorata & the Floating City featuring art by Sarah Richcreek. The reception will take place in the Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery on the second floor of Cornerstone from 5 to 7 p.m. in conjunction with November’s First Thursday events.
