In honor of the life and service of the late Judith Barnes the Board of Directors of Cornerstone Center for the Arts will dedicate the west wing of the building’s second floor in her memory. Judy was a co-founder of the Muncie Center for the Arts, which later became Cornerstone Center for the Arts where she served as a board member until her death.
Judy’s influence led the way through Cornerstone’s expansion while maintaining the importance of the organization’s mission of “Access to Arts for All.” The dedication of the Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery will tribute Judy’s devotion to Cornerstone, her love for the arts, and admiration of the historic facility.
The new Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery will feature a remodeled art gallery space and three new restrooms. The gallery allows Cornerstone to feature local artists while introducing Cornerstone’s arts programs in the community.
Donations to the Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery may be made by calling 281-9503. All contributions are welcomed and will be recognized on a plaque located in the Gallery. Dedication for the Judith Barnes Memorial Gallery is planned for May 2018. Please consider helping Cornerstone recognize a very special person who gave so much time and effort to bringing the arts to “ALL.”
