Harvest Moon Film Festival and Ball State Cardinal Filmworks will present the Muncie Film Showcase on Friday, October 3rd at 8:00PM. The Muncie Film Showcase will feature six short films from Muncie and Ball State University filmmakers.

The six films will be presented in the following order:

Any Way - Directed by Griff Partington and Sam Day
(Run Time: 9 min.)

An Orwellian drama about two lovers planning an escape from the unseen forces that keep them separated.

The Hours - Directed by Tori and Marggy Griffin  
(Run Time: 7 min. 56 sec.)

The current law in the
US refuses to recognize marriages between same-sex couples, forcing foreign born partners to leave the country, and their loved ones, behind. Follow Brittany and Joanna as they spend their last day together in the United States.

Makeover - Directed by Heath Benfield                    
(Run Time: 6 min. 47 sec.)
A lonely night mortician is forced to face her fears when she begins to suspect she isn't the only living thing in the morgue.

Forging Friendships - Produced by Cameron Kinzer, Joe Vella, and Blake Brenneman    
(Run Time: 3 min. 03 sec.)

Forging Friendships is about two teenage students who not only forge metal, but friendships.

Telltale - Directed by Andy Bond    
(Run Time: 11 min. 21 sec.)

When the things that go bump in the night lurk around every corner and in every shadow, when evil watches over you every waking moment... what is one to do?  Hide under the covers? Hark! No! "Vigilance," I say! Take action! Based on the short story The Telltale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe, this darkly comedic short is play on madness and paranoia.

Dinner for Two- Directed by Heath Benfield
(Run Time: 20 min. 10 sec.)
A bored housewife searches for new passion in her marriage through her cooking, but her husband Roy begins to suspect her new vigor may be attributed to unfaithful behavior.

The Muncie Film Series is a free event for all ages to attend. There will also be a cash bar for those in need of refreshments. The  event will take place at the Blue Bottle Coffee Shop Parking Lot, 206 S Walnut St, Muncie, IN 47305.

The Muncie Film Series is a great networking opportunity for those interested in film and for those wanting to get involved in film projects. An information table will be provided with details on acting, working on crews, and finding out other ways to get involved in local films.
