The Cornerstone Arts Program is excited to introduce its fall series of twelve week classes, which start September 13th and continue until December 9th. The Arts Program offers classes for youth and adults in numerous areas of the arts.
Youth Classes are offered for children 1 year old-8th grade and include: Early Art, Youth Art, Art Exploration, Youth Ceramics, Early Tap, Early Jazz, Early Ballet, Youth Tap, Youth Jazz, Youth Ba...llet, Youth Indian and Bollywood, Martial Arts, Youth Drama, Early Piano, Youth Piano, and more! There’s something to spark the creativity in every child!
Adult classes for 9th grade and older include: Hip Hop, Belly Dance of all levels, Tap, Country Line Dancing, Swing, Indian & Bollywood, Contemporary & Lyrical, Pilates, Cardio Dance Movement, Fiber Art, Jazz Vocal, Songwriting, Digital Photography, Painting, and Ceramics. These classes are great opportunities for adults to relax while expressing themselves creatively.
We’re also excited to announce our new classes for the fall which include jazz vocal and songwriting classes taught by critically acclaimed vocalist, educator, songwriter and Blue Note Recording Artist, Jackie Allen. Allen has toured the US, Europe, Morocco, Brazil, China and
Taiwan. She has 9 albums to her credit and has taught at Roosevelt University, Chicago, Ball State University, Elmhurst College and Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music. She serves as a Grammy panelist and has served on the Board of Governors for multiple terms.
In addition, the Cornerstone Arts Program offers private instruction for all ages in the following areas: Drums, Guitar, Piano, Voice, Strings, Trumpet, Saxophone, and Clarinet.
